Q: Are there any effective over the counter mouth rinses?
A: My patients have great results when they use Listerine. But they only showed significant improvement when they BRUSHED the Listerine around the gum line. Rinsing alone does not work nearly as well. Make it simple. Soak your toothbrush with Listerine then add toothpaste and brush your teeth gently but thoroughly. You should also brush your tongue twice a day.
