Q:I recently had x-rays taken and they show an abscess but I have no pain. What should I do?
A:It is not unusual for a tooth to die without causing any pain. If the tooth is savable a root canal needs to be completed. If not, then tooth needs to be extracted. If left untreated the infection will spread and you will eventually experience symptoms.
